Salon Scheduling Software Makes Scheduling Easy

Keeping up with all of the different appointments taking place in the salon can be a very time-consuming job. Most of the salons I have been to over the years make use of some type of paper calendar to keep track of individual appointments. While the system does work, it is not the most time efficient method available to keep track of appointments.

If I want to have my hair cut by a specific person, the individual writing down the appointment has to flip through various pages of the calendar to find an opening. Sometimes there is an opening the next day (rarely for me) and sometimes it can take a week or more to see a stylist. One stylist in our area has to be booked six months in advance or more to use his services because of a very busy schedule.

If you think about it, when you spend 10 minutes on the phone looking for a specific time to see your stylist, you have lost 20 minutes of time. You have lost 10 minutes and the person you are speaking with has lost 10 minutes as well. A good salon scheduling program can allow you to find an opening time much quicker than the traditional paper calendar, saving time and effort.
