A few weeks ago, I needed to set up an appointment to have my hair cut because it was becoming unruly. Truth be known, I decided to get a haircut because my wife said, "It is time for you to get a haircut." Like a good husband, I decided to take her advice.
The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful and asked me what time I would be available to have my haircut, as if my hair stylist was waiting around for me to call so she could cut my hair at any time. I quickly said I would like to have my hair taken care of the next day. The friendly lady told me my stylist was booked for the next day, so I asked for the day after the next day and it was booked too. I ended up waiting a week but it was worth it, at least according to my wife.
While I enjoyed my conversation to set up an appointment to get my haircut, I would have enjoyed it much better if I could have set up the appointment myself online. I could access my stylist's schedule and quickly see the number of days she was fully booked. In a matter of a minute or two, I could have set my appointment up instead of having a 10-minute conversation with an appointment scheduler.
Another benefit to using online schedulers is the ability to set up an appointment at any time, day or night. It would be nice to be able to schedule a hair appointment or any other appointment right when it comes to mind, rather than having to wait for normal business operating hours. For instance, if I wake up in the middle of the night and realize I need a certain appointment, I would be so easy and convenient to schedule it immediately by using the Internet.
