I used to be a big fan of keeping my calendar up-to-date in a nice book with a leather cover to use at a moments notice. I varied between a day-timer and a nice bound calendar. Sometimes I had both--one to stay in the office and one to keep with me at all times. The only problem I had was leaving my day-timer in stores upon occasion.
There is nothing like realizing you just left your entire life, in a little book, in some public place. You hope you can find it and may not even be sure of where to look. From experience, I have found that having your name and address in the book is not a big help. Fortunately, the couple of times I left my book in places, I was able to get it back quickly and easily.
Like many other people, I made the switch to using calendar software to help organize my life. I have looked over different programs but have gone with the old stand-by for many years and it works great. I also make use of a PDA to synchronize my schedule with something that fits in my pocket and allows me to add or subtract important appointments.
Over the years, calendar software has undergone changes and is widely available as a stand-alone software or can communicate with other programs. Programs exist with the ability to meet the demands of a business with appointments coming and going all of the time for a large number of people. In the world of software, you can find something to make your scheduling much easier.
